Reservation Policy

Cancellation Policy

To avoid any misunderstanding, guests will be charged for the number of days reserved. A deposit of half of the total amount is required to secure your reservation. Balance is due at check-in.  Please notify us for late arrivals after 8:00pm.

Refunds are not given due to to early departures, late arrivals, accidents or inclement weather, poor fishing or hunting, or situations beyond our control.

Refunds can be given if cancellation is received prior to 45 days of the reserved arrival dates. A cancellation fee totaling 10% will be deducted. Guests assume responsibility for costs incurred and paid by the resort.

Please do not make a reservation unless you are certain you will arrive and depart as scheduled.

In the event of an emergency as a one time courtesy we will hold deposits to be applied to any future available date of equal value or more.  The 10% Cancellation Fee is still deducted, regardless of your rescheduled date, and applied to your check-in balance. Again,  a one time courtesy  and   based upon availability.

If you have special requirements, just let us know 30 or more days in advance of your registered arrival date, we would be happy to accommodate you in any way possible, but we cannot guarantee that we can accommodate any changes at check-in.

Reservation Change Policy

Confirming Your Reservation: When you’ve made a reservation at Rocky Hide-A-Way Cottages and your deposit has been received we will send you a Reservation Confirmation by snail mail unless you request one by e-mail. If you have not received your Reservation Confirmation  within 1 week, call 1-800-887-6259.

Check-In Time: Our Check-in time is 4 p.m. We strive to provide a clean cabin and a clean property for your family when you arrive at 4 p.m.  We have a lot of work to do after each group departs in order to present the resort in the quality condition that you deserve and would expect for your vacation. Thank you for honoring our 4 p.m. check-in time.

Check-out Time: Our Check-out is 10 a.m.  While we always hate to see our guests go home, we look forward to your next visit and appreciate your help in honoring our 10 a.m. check out so that we can properly prepare for our new guests.

Changes to your Reservation: Changes to your reservation must be phone called in and made in writing via Email to rocky@southshore.com. Changes include requests to:

  • Arrive early,
  • Extend your stay beyond your original reservation
  • Additional adults or children over 12 added to the total number of persons in the group, and
  • Cancellations or requests for refunds.

Change Confirmation: We will send you a confirmation of all change requests, via snail- and e-mail within 48 hours. If you do not receive a confirmation for your change request via e-mail within 48 hours, please call us at 1-800-887-6259 or check your spam folder. Please read over our change confirmation e-mail carefully and check for any mistakes.

Reading carefully and replying to all e-mails from Rocky Hide-a-Way will help avoid any confusion or misunderstandings and help us to provide everything you expect and deserve for your next vacation with us.
